Does your employee benefits include Carrot Fertility? Perhaps a colleague has used their services and you’re now pregnant and wondering if you should utilise the service too.
I first heard of Carrot in 2024 when a first-time mum contacted me about postnatal support for after their planned caesarean. I have since supported several families under this scheme.
What is Carrot?
Carrot Fertility is a US based company that offer fertility benefits including financial assistance for various reproductive health services. From reproductive testing, (egg, sperm, embryo) freezing, assisted conception, surrogacy, adoption, pregnancy and postpartum, and menopause.
Carrot Fertility and Doula Support
Carrot understand the important and positive impact of the doula role on parents and families, and it’s great to see their support covering this pivotal time of life.
I am an approved Doula with Carrot Fertility as of September 2025, and will be featured on their Directory when it goes live in a few months.
What does it mean to be an approved Carrot Doula?
I have fulfilled the stringent Carrot requirements which are checked annually and include:
- I have been trained by an approved Doula training provider
- I am a member of an approved certifying body
- I have at least 3 years’ experience as a Doula
- I have paediatric CPR first aid training
- I have supplied both professional (other doula colleagues) and client (families I have supported) references – those who happily vouch for my skills and services
- I have adequate insurances in place for all the services I provide
- I have a business bank account and detailed invoicing processes
How to use a Carrot approved Doula
If you have access to the Carrot Fertility benefits you can likely use my services in a few ways: (please do check your individual membership for what’s included for you)
Antenatally
Time with me in pregnancy, learning and preparing for the birth of your baby or for your postpartum recovery and journey into parenthood. This could be through my private antenatal hypnobirthing classes, a one-off doula support planning session, or as part of my doula support packages (see below).
Birth Doula
As a birth doula I walk alongside you on this journey. I believe in your unique dreams for your birth experience and all you want it to be (and not be) and I will encourage and back your individual choices whatever they look like with loyalty and love. As you navigate this time I can provide knowledge, experience, and tools if/when you need or want. Birth doula support starts in pregnancy from as early as 12 weeks, I’ve also had people book me at 38 weeks! I’m there in pregnancy as your go-to person, with you through labour, birth, and the first hours with your baby. You can read more about my birth doula packages here.
Postnatal Doula
Support once you’re home with your baby. This may include emotional support – listening and holding space for you to explore all the new feelings of parenthood. I can support with the early days and weeks of breast/feeding, and signpost to local specialist support you and baby might benefit from. Practical help can make all the difference to your recovery and the challenges that come in the first weeks. As a doula, you are my priority, and my help might be caring for your baby while you rest, sleep, relax, recover, exercise, or attend appointments. I may also do light housework, cooking, or washing. Read more about my postnatal support here.
Overnight Doula Support
similar to postnatal support if you would benefit from someone caring for you baby overnight so you can get a more restful night then I may be able to offer one night a week or an intensive support week (up to 5 nights in one week).
What areas do I cover as an approved Carrot Doula?
I live in Merton and so typically work within South West London and Surrey. I can usually support you if you live in Merton, Wandsworth, Sutton, or Kingston. However I may travel outside of these areas.
If you’re interested in exploring my support through your Carrot benefit please either contact me with your postcode, due time and the support you’re considering. Alternatively, you can book a discovery call with me here.
