PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION
PLACENTA ENCAPSULATION
Placenta Services
Encapsulating your placenta can be a powerful way to honour your pregnancy, birth, and the transformative journey you’re on as a mother, as well as offering benefits for your postpartum recovery.
Anecdotally, mothers who ingest their placenta often report feeling calmer during the early weeks, and 98% say they would choose to do it again.
Or perhaps you’re considering encapsulation as a way to stay connected to your experience and honour the role your placenta played, instead of it being thrown away.
I offer personalised Placenta Encapsulation and Tinctures as per the below packages, covering South West London and parts of Surrey. The collection kit, collection of your placenta (day or night), and delivery of your remedies is included in the price you see below.
After booking, I am available via whatsapp to ask questions and arrange smooth collection. I provide a local, personal service and always aim to collect your placenta myself within 4 hours of it being born – no strange courier turning up in your birth space!
Why use your placenta?
Using placenta remedies as an alternative therapy during the postnatal period is becoming more and more popular.
Your placenta holds many different nutrients at the time of birth:
-
Stem cells and growth factors
-
Oxytocin hormone
-
Iron
-
Vitamins B6 and E
Each of these nutrients, plus more that are present, provide a different benefit to you as a new mother/parent.
Services and Packages
Payment, Collection, and Delivery
Hospitals/Areas covered:
I cover the following hospitals and their surrouding areas for homebirths; Kingston Hospital, Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital in Sutton, St George’s Hospital in Tooting, Chelsea & Westminster Hospital, Croydon University Hospital, and Kings College Hospital. I may attend other hospitals for an additional travel fee of £30.
Payment:
A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and for the Placenta Collection Kit to be sent to you. The balance payment is due by 38 weeks of your pregnancy or prior to collection (whichever happens first). Payments are via bank transfer using an invoice payment link.
Collection Kit:
Once your deposit has been received, a full collection kit (including cool bag, ice packs, secure bag for your placenta, and full instructions for storing your placenta safely prior to collection) will be delivered to your home at around 36 weeks, or within 72 hours if booking after this time. The cost of this kit is included in the package price.
I will ask you to let me know when labour is happening and once the placenta has been born. Your placenta will be collected from you (at hospital or home) within 10 hours after birth, usually sooner. I aim to collect this personally and will never use a courier service.
Receiving your Placenta Remedies:
I work to return your capsules to you within 3-4 days, sometimes it will be sooner. Delivery is via Next Day Signed-For post, and this is included within the package price. I can hand deliver to the following postcodes for an additional £20 fee; SM4, SM1, SM3, KT4, KT3, SW20, SW19, SW17, CR4. Any tincture will be delivered later (unless you are happy to receive it with the placenta still in the bottle).
Training and Standards
I trained with PRISM Placenta Remedies, which provides a very high level of training and requirements.
All PRISM Placenta Remedy Providers have to currently work within the birth world or attend a birth workers course to ensure that they understand how precious these moments are for you and your new family.
I hold certificates in Food Safety, Infection Control and Hazard Analysis.
Annual re-certification is part of the PRISM training, this is to ensure that any updates to procedures, laws, health and safety or hospital protocols are passed on and understood within my offerings.
All certificates can be provided on request.
