Services and Packages
Simple encapsulation
With the simple method (or sometimes known as raw encapsulation) your placenta is rinsed, sliced, dehydrated, and ground before being put into capsules. This method is the more popular choice, and produces more capsules than the steamed method. Parents report feeling energised from taking these capsules in postpartum.
Steamed encapsulation
A more traditional method where the placenta is steamed before being sliced, dehydrated, ground, and put into capsules. This method produces slightly fewer capsules than the simple method. This method will be used if you’re a carrier of Strep B or meconium was present during birth. Using steamed capsules can provide a more calming or balancing feel.
Tincture & encapsulation
This is when a portion of the placenta is steeped in strong alcohol for several weeks. A tincture lasts a lifetime and has many benefits. You can add a few drops to a drink when you are seeking support with emotions, hormones, or simply need an energy boost. Add this to either your simple or steamed capsules for an enhanced placenta package.
Payment, Collection, and Delivery
Payment:
A £100 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your booking and for the Placenta Collection Kit to be sent to you. The balance payment is due by 38 weeks of your pregnancy, or prior to collection (whichever happens first). Payments are via bank transfer using an invoice payment link.
Collection Kit:
Once your deposit has been received, a full collection kit (including cool bag, ice packs, secure bag for your placenta, and full instructions for storing your placenta safely prior to collection) will be sent to your home at around 36 weeks, or within 72 hours if booking after this time. The cost of this kit is included in the price.
I will ask you to let me know when labour is happening and once the placenta has been born. Your placenta will be collected from you (at hospital or home) within 10 hours after birth, usually sooner. I aim to collect this personally, ie not a courier person.
Receiving your Placenta Remedies:
I work to return your capsules to you within 3-4 days, often it will be sooner. Delivery is via Next Day Signed-For post, and this is included within the package price. I can hand deliver to the following postcodes for an additional £20 fee; SM4, SM1, SM3, KT4, KT3, SW20, SW19, SW17, CR4. Any tincture will be delivered later (unless you are happy to receive it with the placenta still in the bottle).
